Hi Folks..
hab nun ne halbe stunde in alten Thrads gewühlt..und nix passendes gefunden...
Frage:
Welche Kühlflüssigkeit Kühlsystem für eine c5???Mischungs - Verhältniss?mit dest. Wasser natürlich...
Wie entlüfte ich das system danach richtig..??

Wasser und GMs Dex-Cool
aus dem Service Manual:
When filling the cooling system use a 50 to 60 percent concentration with DEX-COOL® coolant.
Fill the system through the surge tank opening.
Fill half the capacity of the system with 100 percent DEX-COOL® coolant.
Slowly add clean drinkable water to the system until the level reaches to the base of the neck.
Start the engine.
Idle engine for 1 minute.
Install surge tank cap.
Cycle the RPM, idle to 3000 in 30 second intervals until engine coolant reaches 99°C (210°F).
Shut off the engine.
Refer to step 3 above to remove the surge tank cap.
Start the engine.
Idle engine for 1 minute and fill surge tank to 1/2 inch above COLD FULL mark on the radiator surge tank.
Install the surge tank cap.
Cycle the RPM, idle to 3000 in 30 second intervals until engine coolant reaches 99°C (210°F).
Shut off the engine.
Top off coolant as necessary, 1/2 inch above FULL COLD mark on the radiator surge tank.
Rinse away any excess coolant from the engine and the compartment.
Inspect the concentration of the coolant.

Da steht nicht 50:60 sondern 50 - 60% der Gesamtmenge sollte Frostschutz sein.

Hallo!
Hier ein Tipp von mir.Ich empfehle das Kühlmittel von Renault,das ist fertig und braucht nicht mit Wasser gemischt zu werden,geht bis 23 Grad Minus,müßte also ausreichend sein.Wir fahren dieses Kühlmittel in diversen Rennautos und haben festgestellt das die Temperatur um ca.5 Grad weniger ist als bei gemischtem Kühlmittel.

Hab hier im Forum gelesen, daß das Originale Kühlmittel zu klumpen beginnt, wenn man es mit anderem vermischt.
Deshalb sollte man vorher mit dem Gartenschlauch spülen.
Ich hab auch das BASF drinn.
Als ich die Köpfe abgebaut hatte, konnte ich noch ca. 1Liter in den Kühlbohrungen absaugen obwohl das Kühlmittel über Nacht schon rausgetröpfelt ist.
Trotzdem bekam ich einen halben Liter weniger rein, als die Füllmenge besagt.
Das heißt, beim Ablassen durch die Kühlerschraube bleibt noch ca. 1 1/2 Liter vom alten Mittel drinn.

Im Motorblock gibt es noch ein oder zwei Ablassschrauben für Kühlmittel. Dreht man die raus bekommt man auch den Rest heraus.
