Hab was interessantes im Corvetteforum.com gefunden - wenn ich's richtig interpretiere macht das System keinen Unterschied zwischen Flat Tire und TPMS malfunction...
Thread US
"regarding the ability to disable traction control / active handling when there is a TPMS failure, the real answer, i believe, is that it depends on the year of car.
the original poster has a 2007 vette according to the profile. the 2007 corvette owner's manual is available online, i found a copy here:
https://www.c6registry.com/Technical/...07corvette.pdf
page 282 of the 2007 manual has a section about TPMS which states in relevant part as follows:
"If the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system detects a
flat tire and the Driver Information Center (DIC)
displays TIRE FLAT, or if the TPM system is
malfunctioning and the DIC displays SERVICE
TIRE MONITOR, the Active Handling System will
be affected as follows:
• The Active Handling System cannot be turned
off by the driver.
• If the Active Handling System is off, it will be
turned on automatically.
• Competitive Driving Mode is unavailable.
• The Active Handling System will feel different in
aiding and maintaining directional control."
i did not find a similar provision in my 2010 owner's manual.
here is an interesting thread on the issue of TPMS:
