Hi Mike,

verstehe Deine Frage sehr gut. Habe auch immer gedacht das es nur die Farbe ist die den Unterschied macht.
Es gibt bei GM jedoch eine Abteilung (GM Performance Parts) die wohl ein klein wenig bessere Artikel im Programm hat als die Stock C5.

Habe davon schon im US Forum gelsen, und nun auch bei CorvetteCentral.com die Scheiben gefunden. Hier die Beschreibung :

"These are the same components used on Z06 models.

GM Performance Parts now offers C5 front performance rotors and brake pads. The rotors incorporate improved metallurgy and their thicker design is less prone to warping, checking or cracking. The combination of these rotors and brake pads allows your Corvette to handle the demands (especially heat) of aggressive driving and racing better than stock front brakes. Both pads and rotors can be used on C5's, not just the Z06 model. This rotor and pad combination is designed for the front wheels only, where most of the braking work takes place during high performance driving."
