The very original size was 6.70V15 - something like 185 to 195/70/15 on a 6,5 inch steel wheel. Do not forget this is 40 years ago and not comparable with the C3.

Yup, you are absolutely spot on! Thanks for that piece of information, with the195/70/15 the diameter is 25.748" With 235/40/18 the actual diameter would be 25.4" which is even less than stock! Well, anyway thanks again! Prost!
