I have just awoken from the winter-hibernation and the preparation for paint should start within a week or so. I still don't know what color to choose, I would like to use a non-metallic paint and would like to stay away from any colors that yells out for attention.

If anyone is good at PS, please feel free to come with suggestions. Here are 2 simple PS paintjobs.

Regardless of the color you choose you will always get attention with your car, "don't worry"...

I would propose you think about a color concept which includes the interior, not just outside. You may use a second color outside which is also used inside. Some time ago I was at Porsche in Stuttgart and they had a 911 in black, but the outside mirrors in a very intensive grass-green. This green was also inside as stitching in the black leather seats and the leather dashboard. Also the shift knob had this and some other parts where in this green. Unfortunately I could not take pictures (not allowed there....).

That is great idea, but at this point I am exhausted with this project and the interior (all black) and engine will probably be left as is. I will remember your idea in the future if I find new motivation. Thank you!

I haven't updated this thread in a while but the car is driveable. The front splitter lasted a week but I didn't mind, it needed to be rebuilt anyway. The look was better without it






Plans for the winter/spring is to install spacers for the front wheels and paint the rims black. The front splitter will also be modified and reinstalled.
