Klima Problem!?!?

Hi all!

Am Samstag wollte ich mit Vettchen ,Freundin und zwei Hunden in die schöne Steiermark fahren!Draußen hatte es etwa 30 Grad,also optimales Klima-Wetter!Nur stellte sich folgendes Problem heraus:Klimakompressor arbeitet,aber es wurde innen nicht kühl!Gut!Zur nächsten Werkstatt,Klima befüllen lassen!(es fehlte etwas Klimagas,aber nicht schlimm!Trotzdem neu befüllt!Ganz kurz wurde es kühl,dann am Weg in die Steiermark ist es im Innenraum wieder warm geworden!Heute war ich wieder bei der Werkstatt und das Problem geschildert!Nach einer kurzen Durchsicht die Erkenntniser Klimakreislauf wird richtig kalt,aber die Düsen auf der Beifahrerseite blasen nur lauwarme Luft raus,egal wie man den Drehregler einstellt!!Die Mitteldüse und die Düsen auf der Fahrerseite liefern mittelmäßig kühle Luft!Woran kanns liegen??

There is some miss information going on here, so i would like to get it right. The vacuum line provides vacuum to the doors that control the air flow to the different levels (Upper, Lower, Both or Defrost ducts). If you select the top or lower ducts and the air flow does not change or all the air comes out of the defrost duct (that the default duct setting) then their is a possible problem with the vacuum supply to the HVAC unit. The vacuum comes from the back of the intake manifold. It runs down to the passengers fender well to a vacuum reservoir. from there it goes to the HVAC unit and on early C5's the AIR pump.

Yes, the battery can leak and cause the vacuum lines to evaporate and cause significant damage to your wiring harnesses and PCM. Its always a good thing to check your battery for leakage and if you still have the OEM Delco, get rid of that thing!!

If you can select different duct levels, your vacuum lines are fine.

There are two controllers in the HVAC system that control temperature. They are on the left and right side of the HVAC unit under the dash. They are monitored by the OBD II system and if the actuators are not working correctly, you will not be able to change the temperature on one side or both sides and you should get codes. Recommend that you check the codes. If you have codes, try clearing them and see if that allows the actuator to function again. There are a few modules that if DTC codes are set, the module will not function until the codes are cleared. The actuators are known to malfunction and sometimes the operating shaft cracks and will no longer turn the door shaft.

Before you get too deep in troubleshooting and replacing parts, examine the actuators and make sure that they are moving the shaft so that the temperature can be changed. If it isn't moving, that is most likely your problem.

There are also two fuses that can be pulled to reset the HVAC module and clear all the faults. for the life of me i cant remember what they are right now. (I'm at work and don't have all my manuals )

Deinen Glauben möchte ich haben mein lieber Knut Ich vermute aber eher, das sich sowas über kurz oder lang - ebenfalls nach den Gesetzen des guten alten Herrn Darwin - mangels realistischer Selbsteinschätzung auf der Straße regelt Dann aber hoffentlich ohne Fremdbeteiligung
